Simple Version of the Circulatory System:
1. Blood enters the right atrium and then right ventricle, exits the pulmonary artery.
2. Blood is pumped to the lungs where the blood is filled with oxygen.
3. Blood returns to the heart (by pulmonary veins).
4. Blood enters the left atrium to the left ventricle and exits the aorta (largest artery in the body).
5. Blood travels through the body taking nutrients and oxygen to the cells and removing waste products from the cells.
6. Blood returns to the heart and the process begins again.
